Takht restrains HSGMC from taking charge
* Says status quo will continue till matter is resolved
* Defiant Jhinda says Jathedar shouldn�t issue such directives
Amritsar, July 27
A day after playing a peacemaker by directing the two warring sides to call off their conclaves, Akal Takht today said the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) will continue to manage the affairs of Haryana gurdwaras till the row is resolved. In a way, Akal Takht has restrained the new Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee team from assuming office.

Reacting to Akal Takht�s fresh directions to restrain the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee from functioning, its chief Jagdish Singh Jhinda said: �The Akal Takht Jathedar should take decisions as per the law and not in someone�s favour.�
