Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne is an avid learner of the game and his obsession with Test cricket is no secret to anybody. But the middle-order ace grabbed eyeballs after his bizarre choice of underpants made the headlines during the ongoing World Test Championship Final against India.

Marnus Labuschagne, currently the No. 1 Test batter in the world, was severely tested by the Indian bowlers, especially Mohammed Siraj, in the initial part of his innings on the Day 3 of the summit clash. However, it was his outlandish choice of underwear that grabbed the headlines.

The batting ace slipped down his pants during his batting innings and revealed the underpants, commemorating Australia's thumping 4-0 victory against England in 2021-22. There were pictures of the Australian players enjoying their momentous achievements during the five-match series.

The South Africa-born cricketer was Australia's second leading run-getter in the 2021-22 Ashes, behind middle-order dasher Travis Head. His choice of underpants would have surely rattled a few English plaers, who are eyeing redemption in this year's Ashes, commencing in a few days' time.

Australia en route to claiming maiden WTC title

Labuschagne also took social media by storm earlier in the day when he was caught napping on camera in the dressing room, only for David Warner's wicket to break his slumber. Following a challenging start, he settled at the crease, frustrating the Indian bowlers at the fag end of the day.

However, the 28-year-old did not have much of an impact on the fourth day, as he departed without adding to his overnight tally. Despite his dismissal, Australia are in a position of strength and are favourite to clinch their maiden WTC title against India.
