41 poets recall Guru’s teachings

SULTANPUR LODHI: As a part of ongoing celebrations dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev, the state government organised a ‘kavi darbar’ here on Monday at the main pandal.

As a part of ongoing celebrations dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev, the state government organised a ‘kavi darbar’ here on Monday at the main pandal. In the presence of a huge gathering, famous poets from all over the country presented their poems dedicated to the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev.

The ‘kavi darbar’ was unique in itself as it was on the theme 41 words of ‘Gurmukhi lippi’ and prominent 41 poets presented poems enlightening the audience about the teachings of Guru Sahib.

Dr Surjit Pattar conducted the ‘Kavi Darbar’. Dr Pattar also recited his poems. Poet Mukesh Aalam from Ludhiana recited his poem ‘Ajj rukhan de vich charcha hai’. Other prominent poets who presented their poems included Gurdeep Aulakh, Kashish Hoshiarpuri, Dr Sukhjinder Kaur, Dr Gurbhajan Gill, BD Kalia, Sardar Panchi, Tarlochan Lochi, Darshan Buttar, Amarjit Singh Amar, Fartool Chand Fakkar, Dr Rabina Shabnam, Sukhdeep Kaur, Manvinder Singh Dhanoa, Noor Mohamad Noor, Mehak Bharti, Fakir Chand Tulli and Kulwant Singh Grewal. — TNS
