CHANDIGARH:Arjun Veer Singh (in pic) scored a patient 38 before Karanveer claimed a four-for to help Chandigarh register a 53-run win over Kurukshetra in a Haryana Inter-District U-16 Championship match today.

Arjun Veer Singh (in pic) scored a patient 38 before Karanveer claimed a four-for to help Chandigarh register a 53-run win over Kurukshetra in a Haryana Inter-District U-16 Championship match today. 

Opting to bat, city boys were bowled out for 162 runs in 49.5 overs. Apart from Arjun Veer, Nikhil Kumar (30) and Lakshay Sood (24) made useful contributions to the Chandigarh total. 

Defending a modest total, Chandigarh bowlers led by Karanveer bundled out the visitors for 109 runs. Karanveer returned with figures of 4/22. Akshit (35) was the top scorer for visitors. — TNS
