GMSSS-20 boys, Tribune Model girls in netball final

Chandigarh, April 19

Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 20, registered a 10-1 win over CL DAV School, Sector 7, to sail into the boys’ final on the opening day of the State Sub-Junior State Netball Championship at The British School, Sector 44, here, on Friday. 

In the second semifinal, Aurobindo School, Sector 27, edged out Moti Ram Senior Secondary School, Sector 27, 11-2.

In the girls’ category, Tribune Model School, Sector 29, humbled CL DAV School 7-2 to set up the title clash with Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, who overcame GMSSS, Sector 20, 7-6. 

Earlier, in the league matches, CL DAV boys pipped Coaching Centre, Sector 32, 3-2, while GMSSS, Sector 20, downed Friends Club 8-3. Moti Ram School registered a 10-8 win over Chandigarh Club and Aurobindo School edged past National Club 9-2. 

In the girls’ category, GMSSS, Sector 20, beat Prince Club 6-4. Sacred Heart School overcame Sunshine Club 7-6, while CL DAV registered a 4-3 win over Unified Club. Tribune Model School prevailed 5-2 over Friends Club.
