BCM School, Sector 32-A, Chandigarh Road, celebrated Hindi diwas to show their appreciation towards the official language of the country. Power Point presentations, poems and speeches highlighted the importance of Hindi. A doha gayan activity was organised for students of pre-primary wing. Students of primary and middle wing participated in a Hindi Sulekh Pratiyogita, slogan-writing competition.

Teachers honoured 

Ludhiana: Innerwheel Club celebrated Teacher's Day with the teachers of Nirdosh, a school for mentally challenged children. JK Sidhu, principal, DAV School, was the chief guest. Teacher's showcased their talent on Bollywood numbers. A ramp walk was also organised.”

Swachhta Pakhwara observed

As per the guidelines of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, kicked off a cleanliness drive from September 1 to 15 under the theme "Swachh Bharat- Swachhta Pakhwara". The fortnight drive focused on issues and practices of cleanliness on school campus and surrounding areas. Students picked up brooms and cleaned the campus and surroundings. . 

Animal-recognition activity 

Students of nursery of Police DAV Public School participated in an animal recognition activity. The activity was organised with the aim to fascinate children and widen their horizon in identifying various categories of animals. Principal Anu Verma encouraged the efforts of all participants. Meanwhile, LKG students were familiarised with health  benefits of sprouts during a special assembly. TNS

Seminar on stress management

To cope up with stress, a workshop on stress management for its teachers was organised by Om Parkash Bansal Modern School, Mandi Gobindgarh. The resource person for the seminar was Harpreet Kaur, principal, Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh. She elaborated the concept of eustress and distress by suggesting teachers to relate real life situations with case studies. Teachers were also told about time management. — TNS
