Easy win for NICS Academy of Patiala

LUDHIANA: The Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NICS) Academy of Patiala scripted an easy 7-wicket victory over Lohtia College Academy of Ludhiana in the first match of the Inter-Academy Cricket Tournament (U-16) for Hara Cup-2019 being organised by the Hara School of Cricket here on Saturday.

The Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NICS) Academy of Patiala scripted an easy 7-wicket victory over Lohtia College Academy of Ludhiana in the first match of the Inter-Academy Cricket Tournament (U-16) for Hara Cup-2019 being organised by the Hara School of Cricket here on Saturday.

The NICS Academy won the toss and invited Lohtia College Academy to bat first. In the 40-over each side, Lohtia College Academy were bowled out for 68 runs in 30 overs in which Prince contributed 15 runs.

For the visitors, Narinder and Prabhav captured three wickets each after conceding 22 and 10 runs, respectively, while Salman chipped in with two wickets for 10 runs.

NICS Academy achieved the target in 15 overs after losing three wickets. Rajveer made 23 runs while Prabhjit scored 15 runs to steer their side to register a comfortable victory.

For the losers, Kamlesh Kumar got two wickets for 11 runs in two overs. — OC
