Saint Soldier International School, Chandigarh, observed vigilance awareness week. An integrity pledge was taken by students of Class VIII. To create awareness and fight against corruption, a human chain was formed by Classes XI and XII. To eradicate corruption, students of the NSS wing delivered a speech and a presentation. A poster-making competition was also organised at the school by Bank of Baroda. Students were awarded with gifts, trophies and certificates. The first position was bagged by Gurbaaz. Daksh won the second position and Anuj secured the third position.

Aanchal International, Chandigarh

Aanchal International School organised a session for students of Class V to VIII to enhance their listening skills. They were made to listen to stories and were asked to repeat them. Students got several tips such as keeping the ears and mind open, listening to every word and trying to picture what the speaker is saying, asking questions only to ensure understanding and paying attention to the non-verbal clues.

Ryan International, Mohali

Young students of Ryan International, Mohali, participated in the Punjab State Yoga Sports Championship, Patiala, and brought laurels to the school. Yashita Gupta of Class III bagged the gold medal, Simrit Kaur Sandhu of Class V bagged the gold medal, Saksham Kondal of Class VII bagged the bronze medal and Tajinder Singh of Class IX bagged the silver medal. All of them have qualified for the national-level yoga championship to be held in Kanpur

PML SD Public, Chandigarh

Students of PML SD Public School brought laurels by winning two gold medals in the Inter-School Taekwondo Championship organised by the Education Department at Government Model School, Sector 33. In the U-14 boys' category, Ashwin of Class VIII bagged the gold medal whereas in the U-17 boys' category, Harsh of Class X clinched another gold medal. Principal Monica Sharma applauded the students.

Sri Guru Harkrishan Public

The Social Science Department and Electoral Club of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School held a mock Parliament for Class IX and X on its premises. The endeavour aimed at enhancing confidence and public speaking skills of students. Students chose various current and controversial issues to debate about and came up with enthusiastic arguments and counter arguments. Students began with a speech on the structure of Parliament. Principal Pritinder Kaur appreciated the students and the Social Science Department.

An inter-clan general awareness quiz invigorated the school ambiance. The quiz restored the zeal, enthusiasm and energy in the students after the Diwali break.

To strengthen reading skills of children, a paper reading contest was organised during a special morning assembly.

KB DAV, Chandigarh

To mark Vigilance Awareness Week, students of KB DAV-7, Chandigarh, took a pledge against corruption. Teachers and students took a pledge to create awareness against corruption and sensitise the learners. A role play, ‘Jaag Utha Insaan’, was presented by the students of Class X. TNS
