Two men died while three women were seriously injured after a head-on collision between two cars on the Patiala-Chandigarh road on Sunday.
The drivers of both the cars—a Maruti Suzuki Dzire and a Maruti Atlo—died.
The victims were rushed to the Rajindra Hospital in Patiala, where the doctor declared the two were brought dead.
The injured have suffered serious head injuries and multiple fractures.
The accident took place near Kauli village around 12:15 pm.
One of the deceased has been identified as Subhash Sachdeva.
