A minibus of a private company coming from Adaa Jheer da Khooh and going towards Kamahi Devi went off the road and fell into a gorge.
According to passengers, the driver tried to turn the bus to one side of the road after something came in front of it. However, it went off road and fell into the gorge. All 30 persons travelling in the bus were injured in the accident. After the accident, most of the injured went on their own to get treatment. At the Kamahi Devi CHC, five passengers were discharged after treatment.
Dr Kiran, posted at the Kamahi Devi CHC, said five injured passengers were sent home after treatment while Shweta, a resident of Dadayal village, was referred to the Civil Hospital Dasuya. Sona, wife of Khyal Singh, was also referred to the Dasuya hospital. Of the 30 passengers, most of them were students who were returning to their homes after attending tuitions after school hours.
