300 Chandigarh students march against violence in Delhi

Chandigarh, February 27

The Student for Society (SFS) today organised a ‘People’s March Against Fascism’ from the Student Centre to the Panjab University market in Sector 14 to commemorate the martyrdom of Chandra Shekhar Azad here today.

Organisations such as the Lok Ekta Manch and Bekhauf Azaadi also took part in the protest. Around 300 students and members of civil societies from the UT joined the march.

Hassanpreet Kaur, SFS media secretary, said: “The BJP-RSS are responsible for the ever increasing communal tension across the country. They are pushing forward the venomous agenda of Hindu Rashtra. We stand alongside those fighting against the CAA-NRC.” She condemned the communal violence in the national capital.

“We oppose the privatisation of PSUs, education and health and stand against the attack on reservation through the Supreme Court,” she added. — TNS
