Amritsar: New Holland, which deals in agriculture machinery, has stated that balers supplied by it are preventing more than 1.5 million tonnes of crop residue from being burnt in the country every year.

It brings additional income to farmers and clean energy to their communities, said Sandeep Gupta, business head, Crop Solutions, New Holland. The first of the two straw management projects was started in Kallar Majri village in Patiala in October 2017. TNS
