3 women among five booked for assault

TARN TARAN: The local police on Monday booked five persons, including three women, of Naushehra Dhala village, 30 km from here, for allegedly assaulting a resident.

The local police on Monday booked five persons, including three women, of Naushehra Dhala village, 30 km from here, for allegedly assaulting a resident.

The accused have been identified as Sarabjit Singh, his wife Jasbir Kaur, Parminder Kaur, Lakhwinder Kaur and Pavittar Singh. A case under Sections 232, 324, 506, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered against the accused. The incident took place around 10 days ago.

Victim Charanjit Singh, who was injured in the attack, told the police that the accused attacked him due to an old enmity.
