AMRITSAR: Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) Limited, continuing with its second phase of CSR activity under the Accessible India campaign, distributed battery-operated tricycles, wheelchairs, CP chair and hearing aids among 387 people with disabilities.

Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) Limited, continuing with its second phase of CSR activity under the Accessible India campaign, distributed battery-operated tricycles, wheelchairs, CP chair and hearing aids among 387 people with disabilities.

Cabinet Minister OP Soni said the equipment were provided free of cost to the needy. “The REC had distributed wheelchairs and artificial limbs worth Rs 33 lakh to over 167 people. Deputy Commissioner Shivdular Singh said 13 tricycles, 100 wheelchairs, nine CP chairs, 62 hearing aids, 10 walking sticks, 14 walkers, two smart phones and 40 artificial limbs were distributed. — TNS
