A team from the Sarai Amanat Khan police, jointly led by ASI Sukhwant Singh and Excise Inspector Karan Sharma, in-charge of the Excise Department circle Bhikhiwind, seized 4,100 litres of lahan from the residences of three individuals on Friday.

One of the accused was arrested, while two others managed to flee the spot.

The police identified the arrested accused as Baljinder Singh. The absconding suspects have been identified as Malkit Singh and Kuldeep Singh, all residents of Harbanspura Kasel. Officials said the lahan was stored in iron containers.

A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 61, 1, and 14 of the Excise Act.
