Amritsar, October 19

An Army recruitment rally is being conducted at New Amritsar Military Station, Khasa. A total 42,368 candidates had registered for the rally.

The rally is being conducted for post of soldier (general duty), soldier (echnical), soldier (clerk), soldier (nursing assistant) and sepoy pharma category. So far, candidates from Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts have been screened.

During the rally, a candidate has to undergo various tests such as 6-km run, tattoo, drug test, nine-ft ditch, beam, height, weight and chest by a board of officers. Biometric impressions are also taken to avoid impersonation. A medical examination is being carried out for all candidates who have passed physical test. Admit cards are being issued to candidates who are found medically fit for a common entrance exam to be held at Army Public School, Khasa, on Nov 24.

A grievance cell has been set up at entrance gate and at the site of rally for any kind of complaint by candidates. Registration for the recruitment Army is free of cost.
