A team of the Khalra police, led by Sub-Inspector Sahib Singh, seized 712 grams of heroin from the fields of a farmer in Rajoke village on Sunday. The recovery was made after the farmer, Sukhdev Singh, alerted the police about a suspicious packet lying in his field.

According to the police, the contraband was found inside a packet that also contained 94 grams of packing material. Preliminary investigations suggest that the packet was dropped by a drone that reportedly entered Indian territory from the Pakistan side.
