8 booked for not appearing before court

TARN TARAN: The Sadar police have booked eight persons, including two women, under Section 174-A of the IPC for failing to appear in a court.

The Sadar police have booked eight persons, including two women, under Section 174-A of the IPC for failing to appear in a court.

The police said the accused Veera Sharma, her husband Darshan Kumar, sons Lalit Kumar and Munish Kumar of local Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Sangita Verma of gali Chhaparwali, Balwinder Singh of Jawanda Kalan, Heera Singh of Harike, and Jagjit Singh of Johal Raju Singh did not appear in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Sumit Bhalla, who ordered the local Sadar police to register a case against the accused. The accused were booked by the police for blackmailing and threatening a man.
