Woodstock Public School, Batala, presented the Uttam Singh Nijjar and the Hardit Singh Dhillon memorial awards to students who excelled in various fields during the year. The event was held at the Shiv Kumar Batalvi auditorium.
Prominent Dubai-based philanthropist Dr SP Oberoi presented the awards in the presence of school Chairman Dr Satnam Singh Nijjar, Chairperson Dr Satinder Kaur, and Dr Kamal Baghi, founder of a Ferozepur-based hospital. Dr Surinder Pal Singh was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
“These awards stand as a tribute to the visionary school founders whose legacy of excellence continues to inspire generations,” said Dr Oberoi. He lauded the students’ confidence, clarity and organisational abilities, remarking that “such student-led execution reflects a strong culture of discipline and excellence.”
The awards were given for academic and sports excellence.
