Aman Football Cup concludes

The first Aman Football Cup, an inter-school tournament, concluded here at Universal Academy, Tarn Taran, on Sunday, showcasing exceptional talent, sportsmanship and teamwork.
Teams of eight schools from the district participated, competing in three categories: U-14, U-17 and U-19. Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Tarn Taran, emerged champions in the U-17 category. Kick Hub Amritsar took the top spot in the U-19 category, while Cambridge International School, Patti, was the runners-up. KD International won in the U-14 category and Football Club, Rataul, was the runners-up.
The tournament demonstrated the dedication of young footballers, promoting valuable life skills like teamwork, discipline and perseverance.
Chief guest Tarsem Singh, Harpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh, District Sports Coordinator, Jatinder Kumar Sood, former president of Municipal Council, Tarn Taran and principal Jasbeer Kaur Sidhu presented awards to the winners, including trophies and medals.
The winning teams were awarded cash prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 2,500 and Rs 1,500, respectively, by the organisers.
The audience was enthralled by the mesmerising cultural performances, including a march past and Shabad kirtan.
