As many as 336 cartridges of different calibres were recovered from Dasuwal village, on Sunday, hidden under the earth.
ASI Balwinder Singh from Patti Sadar police station said land owner Satnam Singh was digging up the land, when he recovered the ammunition packed in a plastic container.
The recovered cartridges are of AK-47, SLR and 3x3 calibre. The ASI said the recovered ammunition was useless and had rusted.
The police have registered a case under Sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act.
