Amritsar: 6 armed men take away bike, booked

The police on Wednesday booked six persons for taking away a motorcycle at gunpoint. The incident that occurred on the overbridge near the Goindwal Sahib bypass was reported by Avtar Kumar, a resident of Mundapind.

The complainant told the police that he, along with his friend Tajinderpal Singh, was on his way to village when the armed robbers struck.

He added that the accused beat him up when he tried to resist the move.

ASI Gurmeet Singh said a case under Sections 304, 191 (3), 190, 351 (2) 513 (3) of the BNS and Sections 25, 54, 59 of the Arms Act had been registered.
