In a solemn yet celebratory tribute to courage, sacrifice and lifelong service to the nation, Vajra Corps, under the aegis of Western Command, will commemorate the 10th Armed Forces Veterans Day on January 14 at Khasa. The event will honour the indomitable spirit and selfless contributions of veterans, gallantry awardees, Veer Naris and widows of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

Designed as both a tribute and a welfare outreach, the programme aims to honour and felicitate veterans, Veer Naris, widows and disabled veterans, while also providing a strong and responsive support interface.

More than 40 dedicated grievance redressal counters will address matters related to SPARSH, pension, ECHS, CSD and resettlement, reaffirming the Army’s enduring commitment to the well-being of its extended family. Comprehensive medical support will be provided through over nine specialist OPDs, complemented by focused awareness initiatives on welfare schemes, healthcare and post-retirement employment opportunities.

The rally is expected to witness the participation of 2,000–2,500 veterans and family members in person, with an additional 4,000–5,000 participants joining on virtual mode across Western Command, ensuring inclusive outreach and meaningful engagement across the region.

Key highlights of the event will include interaction and felicitation of veterans and Veer Naris, cultural performances celebrating military ethos, multi-specialty medical check-ups, welfare and grievance redressal stalls and a community lunch, fostering camaraderie and shared remembrance.

The event is being organised by Panther Division, the nodal formation, ensuring seamless coordination, dignified conduct and a befitting tribute to the timeless legacy of India’s veterans --- whose selfless service continues to inspire generations and whose sacrifices remain indelibly etched in the nation’s conscience.

All veterans, Veer Naris, widows and eligible stakeholders have been warmly invited to participate and benefit from this meaningful and welfare-oriented event.
