Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa accused Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of neglecting farmers during the recent floods and now touring Tarn Taran merely to secure votes in the upcoming byelection.

Addressing election meetings in Sohal, Kot Dharamchand, Mallian and Jhamke Khurd, Bajwa said, “Chief Minister Mann did not care for farmers during the floods and now he is touring Tarn Taran only to win the election.” He alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government had exposed its “anti-people” stance by removing the names of needy individuals from ration cards.

The Leader of Opposition said the Chief Minister had abandoned democratic principles and was instead pursuing a “dictatorial politics of revenge and fear.” He claimed that incidents of theft, looting and even firing in broad daylight had become routine under AAP’s rule.

Criticising Chief Minister Mann’s visit to Tarn Taran, Bajwa remarked that Mann was using the tactics of “Saam, Daam, Dand, Bhed” to ensure his party candidate’s victory. “This clearly shows his hunger for power,” Bajwa added.

The Leader of Opposition further alleged that Aam Aadmi Clinics provide little beyond basic fever medication, while the Chief Minister falsely claims to offer world-class healthcare.
