Amritsar: BJP and Jan Jagriti Manch workers hold tiranga march in support of CAA

Amritsar, January 18

Members of the BJP and the Jan Jagran Manch on Saturday took out a Tiranga Yatra to make the public aware of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in the city. The rally started from Bhandari Bridge and passed through Hall Bazaar, Bharavan Da Dhaba, Katra Jaimal Singh and DAV College. It ended near Pink Plaza Market. Senior BJP leaders, including MP Shwait Malik, district president Suresh Mahajan, former district president Rajesh Honey, former minister Laxmi Kanta Chawla and Jagmohan Gill, participated in the yatra.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Surindera Jain of Vishva Hindu Parishad said, “We are making efforts to make people aware of the misleading propaganda of some political parties. The CAA is not going to eliminate the right of citizenship of anyone. There are several anti-national lobbies in the country, which are misleading the residents.— TNS
