Girls of the Government Elementary School, Dhunn, a school in the border area, were felicitated for their excellent performance in the 59th Punjab State Primary School Games-2025 held recently at Morinda. The village panchayat and the school managing committee organised a grand function in this regard at the Government Senior Secondary Smart School of the village on Sunday. Navpreet Singh, Sarpanch, Ram Singh, chairman of the school managing committee, and Gurdev Singh, school head, supervised the function.

Navreet Kaur (weight category 18 kg) and Gurnaj Kaur (weight category 34 kg) of the school were honoured at the function for securing second place in the karate competition. Other boys and girls of the school who participated in these competitions were also encouraged. The village elders also praised coach Daljit Kaur who trained the students.
