Bori gets extortion call from terrorist Harwinder Singh
It’s an irony of sorts, alleged criminal and real estate trader Kamal Kumar, alias Bori, who has received an extortion call from Pakistan-based terrorist Harwinder Singh, alias Rinda.
Rinda asked him to help his associates by giving ~1 crore as extortion. In his complaint to the Kamboh police, he stated that Rinda threatened to kill him and his entire family if he did not pay the money.
Bori said on September 13, he got a WhatsApp call from a foreign number in which the caller identified himself at Harwinder Rinda. He said Harwinder stated that since the rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attack at the Punjab Police Intelligence Wing headquarters in Mohali two years ago, they were facing ‘shortage of funds’. He asked him to give ~1 crore as extortion for helping them. He alleged that the caller threatened to kill his family if he did not arrange the money. Sub-Inspector Palwinder Singh said a case under Sections 308 (2), 308 (4) and 351 (2) of the BNS has been registered against Rinda.
