BSF seizes 2-kg heroin worth Rs 10 cr in Valtoha

TARN TARAN: The 103rd Battalion of the BSF on Saturday recovered two kg of heroin during a search operation from behind the fencing in the Akarkot area, 45 km from here.

The 103rd Battalion of the BSF on Saturday recovered two kg of heroin during a search operation from behind the fencing in the Akarkot area, 45 km from here.

Last midnight, the BSF heard one gunshot from across the border, the sources said. The BSF suspected some foul by the Pakistan-based drug peddlers. The BSF started its search operation on Saturday morning and recovered two packets of heroin. The estimated international market value of the heroin is Rs 10 crore. The area falls under Valtoha police station.
