A large number of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers, led by Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Monday went to Moga to take part in the rally against drugs there.
Under the campaign launched by the Punjab government ‘War on Drugs 2.0’, a massive rally was organised in Moga. Buses packed with party workers set out from Jandiala Guru Constituency this morning to participate in the rally. During the departure, the firm resolve to make Punjab drug-free was reiterated through slogans.
The main objective of the rally was to make the younger generation aware about the harmful effects of drugs, promote positive thinking in society and strengthen the government’s resolve to take strict action against drug trafficking. On the occasion, the party workers made it clear that the AAP is continuously working at the grassroots level to eradicate drugs.
The Cabinet minister said the fight against drugs is not only the job of government but the shared responsibility of every Punjabi.
