Cricket aficionados in the city were upbeat watching India play against New Zealand for the ICC Champions Trophy final.

Viewers remained glued to screens to watch their favourites, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell and others. Making most of the weekend, friends and relatives gathered at a common place to enjoy the pulsating tie.

Michael, a keen cricket fan, said New Zealand cricketers are known to play well against pacers. Statistics shows that India and New Zealand played 119 matches against each other. India have won 61 times while the Kiwis claimed victory in 50 games. Seven matches produced no result and one ended in a tie. He felt that India needs to deliver on fine bowling, tight fielding and a determined performance with bat to chase the target.
