Civil Surgeon conducts surprise check at Baba Bakala hospital

Civil Surgeon Dr Satinderjit Singh Bajaj conducted a surprise inspection at Sub-Division Hospital, Baba Bakala, here on Monday to check whether people were receiving proper and quality healthcare services.

During the visit, Dr Bajaj checked the overall functioning of the hospital. Noticing the heavy rush and long queues in the OPD, he instructed the staff to set up an additional counter to manage patients more smoothly.

He inspected the Gynaecology OPD, wards, X-ray unit, labour room, blood bank, laboratory, MCH Department, medicine store and the operation theatre.

Dr Bajaj interacted with patients to inquire whether they were receiving free medicines, lab tests, X-rays and other facilities without any difficulty. He conducted a detailed check of staff attendance and took note of their work discipline.

He instructed all doctors and hospital staff to ensure that all prescribed medicines are provided from the hospital itself. He also stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness, being punctual and working with dedication and a service-oriented attitude.

Senior Medical Officer Dr Neeraj Bhatia and District MEIO Amardeep Singh accompanied the Civil Surgeon during the surprise inspection.
