Preliminary investigations revealed that the smuggling module had links with foreign-based handlers and Pakistan-based operatives, indicating the involvement of a cross-border narco-terror network, the DGP said.

An FIR has been registered at SSOC Police Station, Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend other members of the network and to trace the supply chain, he added.
