DDO asked to make regular school visits

AMRITSAR: The state Education Department in a circular has asked all Principals and headmasters having drawing and disbursing officer (DDO) powers of some middle schools to visit their schools.

The state Education Department in a circular has asked all Principals and headmasters having drawing and disbursing officer (DDO) powers of some middle schools to visit their schools.

The order has been issued after it was found that such schools are not being monitored by them. The department has asked that regular visits should be conducted; school’s progress must be evaluated by concerned principals, headmasters.

The progress of such schools must be communicated to higher authorities.
