There has been no let-up in the number of incidents of heroin and drone seizures in the district. The police recovered a drone and heroin from two different spots in the border area here on Thursday night.

The district police informed here on Friday that the Valtoha police under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Avtar Singh recovered 735 grams of heroin wrapped in packets. The packets were delivered by Pakistan-based smugglers.

Meanwhile, the BSF recovered 520 grams of heroin and a drone from the fields of farmer Sher Singh of Rasulpur village. The BSF handed over the heroin and the drone to the Patti Sadar police. Cases under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and Sections 10, 11 and 12 of the Aircraft Act were registered by respective police stations.
