District education officials conducted a surprise inspection at various examination centres while reviewing the conduct of Class 12 PSEB English exam.
A spokesperson of the District Education Department stated that a total of 424 examination centres were set up in the district for the English examination of Class XII, including 220 examination centres and 204 self-examination centres.
About 27,327 students took the examination and a team of officials led by Rajesh Kumar Sharma, District Education Officer (Secondary) and Kanwaljit Singh Sandhu, District Education Officer (Elementary) went to Bhaba Senior Secondary School, Ashoka Senior Secondary School, Ajay Public School, Jikrayog, CLH Public School Putlighar, Government High School Chavinda Kalan, Shri Guru Ramdas Public School Vaniyeke and Government Senior Secondary School, Khasa Bazaar.
"PSEB Class 12 exams were conducted peacefully, without any report of disruption. We have also formed teams to ensure the smooth conduct of board exams for other classes which started earlier this week," said Rajesh Kumar. For the conduct of Class 5 PSEB board exams, 1,221 examination centres were set up in Amritsar district. District Education Officer (Elementary) Kanwaljit Singh Sandhu said 27,504 students studying in a total of 1,337 government and private schools in the district are taking the Class 5 exams. Along with this, 95 students with special needs studying in government schools are also taking the PSEB board exams in the district.
