Amritsar: Members of the Khalra Mission Organisation (KMO), the Punjab Human Rights Organisation (PHRO) and the Human Rights Justice Sangharsh Committee held a protest to impress upon the government to arrest fugitive former DGP Sumedh Singh Saini here on Saturday. Property of drug smuggler freezed
Amritsar: The rural police have freezed the property of a drug peddler, identified as Harjit Singh of Fattewal village falling under the Ajnala police station here. The property freezed by the police was valued at Rs62 lakh. He was nabbed with 1 kg of heroin in December last year. Harjit purchased around 23 kanal and 4 marla land from the ill-gotten money. Cops said during probe the police also found that he had a case of robbery registered against him in July 2013. TNS
