Free coaching for UPSC aspirants

AMRITSAR: Guru Nanak Dev University(GNDU) in collaboration with Nishan-e-Sikhi Charitable Trust, Khadur Sahib, is all set to train 30 students for competitive examinations such as UPSC, PPSC at free of cost.

Guru Nanak Dev University(GNDU) in collaboration with Nishan-e-Sikhi Charitable Trust, Khadur Sahib, is all set to train 30 students for competitive examinations such as UPSC, PPSC at free of cost. The aim of the move is to ensure that students living in rural areas are given world-class education, guidance to crack prestigious examinations.

Under a specific arrangement between the trust and the varsity, these aspirants will be given free education and travel facility. The authorities of the trust will hold entrance examination for the students to be inducted in the All India Services Centre of Preparation for Competitive Examination located at Guru Nanak Dev University. Besides these 30 students, others will be charged and admitted to the centre through an entrance examination held by the university.

GNDU will be paid Rs 25 lakh to be utilised for the education, up-grade of the library among other facilities. — TNS
