Gurmat Samagam to be held at Panagarh in West Bengal on Jan 25

Under the management of Sampardai Kar Sewa Sant Baba Tara Singh Ji, Sarhali Sahib, and under the guidance of Baba Sukha Singh and Baba Hakam Singh, the Kar Sewa (voluntary service) of Gurdwara Sahib is continuously underway at Gurdwara Shri Shromani Bhagat Jaidev Ji, located at Kenduli Gram, Panagarh (West Bengal).

The sacred hymns (Bani) of Bhagat Jaidev is included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. In his memory, the construction of the first Gurdwara Sahib in India at his birthplace is currently in progress.

Jathedar Shabdal Singh, supervising the sewa, stated that like every year, the local Sangat (West Bengal) has been organising an annual Gurmat Samagam dedicated to the birth anniversary of Bhagat Jaidev and the festival of Maghi is to be held on Sunday (January 25).

Renowned Kathavachaks and Kirtani Jathas, including Giani Satnam Singh from Takht Sri Patna Sahib, Giani Gurnoor Singh of Damdami Taksal, along with several Kirtani groups from Kolkata and Punjab, will participate and seek the blessings of the Sangat after the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib.

Among those present on the occasion were Jathedar Sukhdev Singh Poohla, Jagreet Singh Bunty (Panagarh) and Bhai Atma Singh.
