Harsimrat Kaur Badal advocates maternal care at radiologists’ conference
The three-day conference of Indian Radiologists and Imaging Association (IRIA) concluded here on Sunday.
Prominent radiologists from across the country attended the continuous medical education (CME) session, which focused on latest trends and advances in fetal imaging. Leading healthcare experts explored various topics related to the theme of pregnancy and infant health.
Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal was the chief guest. Advocated for education and health of mothers, she stressed that healthy pregnancies contribute to a healthier future for both families and communities.
Punjab IRIA president and organising chairman Dr Amandeep Singh highlighted the crucial role of CMEs in advancing radiology practices and the importance of collaboration and innovation in enhancing patient care.
The conference also featured pre-conference workshops, which were hosted at the SGRD University of Health Sciences.
Conference faculty included some of the doyens of fetal radiology in India, including Dr Ashok Khurana, Dr BS Ramamurthy, Dr Chander Lulla, Dr Mohit Shah.
Dr Sonali Kimmatkar Soni, secretary of Punjab IRIA, thanked all participants, speakers and supporters for their contributions. The inaugural issue of the Punjab Radiology Chronicle was also released at the conference. This publication aims to spotlight academic advancements in the field of radiology, said Dr Amandeep Singh.
