Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar, in partnership with Ujala Cygnus, has performed six robotic onco-surgeries within two weeks of installing the advanced robotic system.
The hospital is now conducting complex onco-surgeries, including GI-onco, thoracic-onco, gynae-onco, and uro-onco surgeries, regularly.
“The initiative aims to provide patients with access to advanced cancer treatment without having to travel to metropolitan cities,” said Amandeep Hospital founder and director Dr Amandeep Kaur. “Our robotic programme offers fast recovery and expert care.”
“We’re excited to bring robotic surgery to our patients, offering them the benefits of minimally invasive surgery with precision and accuracy,” said Dr Sheshank, consultant surgical oncologist, Amandeep Hospital. “This technology allows us to perform complex surgeries with smaller incisions, less pain, and faster recovery times.”
“The introduction of robotic surgery is a game-changer for healthcare in the region, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of this revolution,” said Dr Avtar Singh, chairman, Institute of Orthopaedics, Amandeep Hospital.
