Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, accompanied by Air Chief Marshal Harv Smyth, the current Chief of the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom, visited the Golden Temple on Tuesday. Both were accompanied by their families.
They appreciated the spiritual ambience of the Sikh shrine. While appreciating the tradition of langar seva, they lauded the practice, which conveys the message of equality and brotherhood.
After paying obeisance, Air Chief Marshal Smyth familiarised himself with Sikh traditions. Officials from the SGPC’s Information Office briefed them on the history of the Sikh shrine, its establishment, and the basic teachings of Sikhism.
