Khel Parv kicks off in Tarn Taran

Khel Parv, the two-day annual athletic meet of Universal Academy, Tarn Taran, was inaugurated at the academy on Monday with great pomp and show. Tarn Taran CJM Shilpa was the chief guest at the event. Management members Sachindeep Sood, Surjit Singh, and Pardeep Aggarwal, and parents were among the attendees of the programme.

The event began with a soulful ‘Shabad’ recital, followed by the release of helium balloons and the lighting of the ceremonial torch, setting the tone for a day filled with sportsmanship and enthusiasm.

Cultural performances by students added to the excitement. The athletic events — including athletics, long-jump, and shot-put events — witnessed the participation of students from senior and senior secondary classes. Students from other schools also participated in the event.

Principal Jasbeer Kaur Sidhu welcomed the guests and participants, and emphasised the importance of sports in holistic development.
