The district branch of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC), Punjab, in its meeting held at Gurdwara Baba Kahan Singh, Piddi, on Saturday said that the farmers have decided to stand by the government of the country.

The KMSC leaders expressed their sympathy with the victims of the Pahalgam massacre and prayed for the peace of those who were killed in the incident.

KMSC district president Satnam Singh Manochahal presided over the meeting while Harjinder Singh Shakri, Jarnail Singh Noordi, Resham Singh Ghurkwind and Fateh Singh Piddi were among those who addressed the gathering. The KMSC leaders said that farmers always preferred the interests of the country over their personal interests.

The leaders expressed their doubt over the intentions of the state government and warned that in case it tried to cheat the farmers, they would intensify their fight.

Ranjit Kaur Kallha, Devinder Kaur Piddi and Upjit Kaur Chabal, the KMSC women leaders, called upon countrymen to be united against the enemy at a time when the safety and security of the motherland was more important than our personal interests.
