The district’s Kritagya Arora and Viraj Sharma have emerged champions in the under-17 doubles category of the Open State Badminton Competition, held recently in Ludhiana. Adding to his accolades, Arora also bagged the gold in the under-17 mixed doubles category, qualifying to participate in the national-level competition, to be held in Bhubaneswar.

Talking about his achievements, Arora thanked his coach, international player Mayank Bahl.

Amritsar Badminton Association office-bearers Navjot Singh Bhullar and Jaideep Kohli extended their best wishes to Arora, wishing him a bright future.

Notably, Arora was named the runners-up in an under-17 state championship held in Jalandhar this month, having won a state championship the previous month.
