Lawlessness exposed: Dhaliwal

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Lok Sabha candidate of the Aam Adami Party, has claimed that the attack on former district president Suresh Sharma exposed the poor law and order situation in Punjab. He demanded immediate arrest of the assailants.

Addressing a press conference, he condemned the attack on Suresh Sharma. “The incidents happened in last few days depict the anarchy and ‘jungle raj’ (misrule) prevailing in the state. He said both the Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal had always let the state law and order plunge. Dhaliwal stated that the police and inteligence agencies had failed drastically to protect the people.

AAP leaders appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony. “Punjab is known for unity and integrity. Let none break the social fabric,” they said, adding that the assailants should be arrested at the earliest.
