The Manawala complex located on the outskirts of the city is one of the largest facilities operated by Pingalwara society. Apart from providing residential care for the elderly, mentally challenged individuals and those who have been abandoned by their families, the branch also offers medical treatment, rehabilitation and daily necessities to the residents, ensuring that they live with dignity and care.
It is also known for its educational initiatives. Institutions within the complex focus on the education and training of children with special needs. These facilities help children with hearing impairments and other disabilities receive formal education, therapy and vocational training, enabling them to become more independent and confident.

Dr Inderjit Kaur, president of Pingalwara Charitable Society, continues to expand the mission started by Bhagat Puran Singh. The work carried out at the Manawala branch reflects the enduring vision of Bhagat Puran Singh - to serve humanity without discrimination and ensure that every person receives care, respect and dignity.
The complex here has been developed as an eco-friendly and self-sustainable campus that provides a calm and green environment for its residents. The complex includes around 1.5 acres of orchard land where organic fruits such as lychee, guava, pomegranate, pear and mango are grown and consumed by residents, promoting natural and healthy living.
The campus also follows several environmental initiatives. It operates its own sewage treatment plant (STP) to recycle wastewater for irrigation, while renewable energy through gobar gas and solar power helps reduce its carbon footprint. Regular plantation drives and natural farming further strengthen its commitment to environmental protection.
