Tarn Taran, January 14
A team of the local narcotic staff, led by ASI Satnam Singh, arrested a person with 10 gm of heroin from Kakka Kandiala village on Sunday. The accused has been identified as Gurpreet Singh Gopi of Balian Manjhupur. The police found his movement suspicious so it arrested him. Upon frisking, the cops found heroin from his possession. The accused has been booked under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act.
Meanwhile, the Chabal police arrested Rajan Singh of Pandori Ran Singh with 180 intoxicating tablets and Harchand Singh of Kalsian Kalan village with 70 such tablets. They have been booked under the NDPS Act, the police said.
