AMRITSAR: The Central Jail authorities have confiscated a mobile phone from a “notorious criminal”, Bhupinder Singh, alias Bhinda Don, of Pandori Waraich village.

The Central Jail authorities have confiscated a mobile phone from a “notorious criminal”, Bhupinder Singh, alias Bhinda Don, of Pandori Waraich village. The seizure was made following a tip-off.

Ravail Singh, Assistant Superintendent, Central Jail, has lodged a complaint with the Islamabad police. He said the mobile phone, along with a SIM card, was found during a surprise check.

Bhinda Don faced a similar case on August 31 when he was found possessing a mobile and clashing with another group of criminals lodged in the jail. Besides, Bhinda Don has many cases registered against him. The police are trying to ascertain how did he manage to sneak in the mobile phone. A case has been registered.
