Tarn Taran, January 15
A person was arrested with a .315 bore countrymade pistol and a cartridge from Jarmastpur village, 10 km from here, on Monday.
A police team led by Assistance Sub-Inspector Sukhwinder Singh arrested the suspect, who has been identified as Ajay Sharma, a resident of Deep Avenue.
A case under Sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the suspect. The police said an investigation was on to know the source of the weapon recovered from the suspect.
