MC's grievances meet receives 18 plaints

As many as 18 complaints were received during the weekly public meeting organised at the MC office on Friday.

Maximum against town planning dept

n Maximum complaints (eight) were regarding the Municipal Town Planning Department, followed by Operation and Maintenance cell (five) n Commissioner Kumar Saurabh Raj instructed the officers to dispose of all complaints received from the public immediately

Most of the complaints were regarding the Municipal Town Planning (MTP) Department. There were eight complaints of the MTP Department, five related to the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) cell, three for the civil wing, two for the estate wing, one each of the property tax and health wing of the MC.

In the complaints of the MTP Department, it was said that construction work was going on in two illegal colonies — in front of the Alpha One Mall located on the GT Road and a colony located on the Tarn Taran Road.

In another complaint, the owner of a building at East Mohan Nagar, which was sealed by the Municipal Corporation for being constructed illegally, claimed that he had stay orders from the court. A complainant asked to open the seal of a building sealed by the MC. Another person complained that he MTP Department did not respond to his RTI application.

The Estate Wing received complaints regarding occupation of corporation land by opening of washing centre by someone in the Kabir Park area.

Apart from this, there were some complaints regarding illegal water connection, spreading filth in the area, some issues of rent in the market outside Durgiana Shivpuri.

There have been complaints of contaminated drinking water and sewer blockage for the O&M Department of the MC.

MC Commissioner Kumar Saurabh Raj issued orders to the officers present on the spot to settle the complaints immediately. On which, the MTP Department stopped the illegal constructions being done at two colonies in front of the GT Road Alpha One Mall.
